G-Premio BOND from GC is a light-cured, one-bottle universal adhesive with total-etch, self-etch and selective-etch techniques. It is indicated for use in all classes of direct restorations.
It is designed to maintain excellent marginal integrity regardless of technique or the composite material being used.
The product’s high silicon dioxide filler content helps to seal tubules and lead to fewer voids between the adhesive and dentine. This helps to minimise microleakage and fight off bacteria.
G-Premio BOND is ideal for intraoral repair of composite, metal-based and zirconia/alumina-based restorations, as well as ceramic restorations when used in combination with a specialised priming agent. It can be used with any composite, including GC light-cured composites like EverX Flow short-fibre reinforced flowable composite for dentine replacement.
G-Premio BOND is compatible with all GC resin cements and can bond to all preparations, including teeth, metal abutments and composite core build-ups. Its very low film thickness (3 µm) allows it to adapt better to prostheses. If needed in situations such as post luting, it can be mixed with G-Premio BOND DCA (Dual Cure Activator) to make it dual-core.
G-Premio BOND’s high bond strength makes it suitable for bulk-fill applications. To achieve a long-lasting restoration, it can be used with a dual-core composite and Dual Cure Activator (DCA) for efficient curing, even in deep areas.
G-Premio BOND is one of several GC products aimed at making repairing restorations as routine as possible for dentists. All these products can be found in the GC Repair Kit, an easy-to-use kit designed for chairside intraoral repair of glass-ceramic, hybrid ceramic, zirconia, alumina, composite and metal-based restorations.
A step-by-step Technique Guide is available which covers instructions for in an easy and straightforward way.
G-Premio BOND comes in a unique, touch cap bottle that contains 300 drops and is designed for easy unit dose delivery and short procedure times. The bottle’s silicon flip-top cover helps protect the liquid from the heat transmitted from the dentist’s fingers and to avoid evaporation of the solvent during procedures. Along with a thin nozzle this gives better control of the quantity dispensed, ensuring a reduction in waste.
Because of its fast procedure time of 25 seconds in self-etch and 50 seconds in selective or total etch, G-Premio BOND is particularly useful in treating paediatric patients and in cases where isolation is not ideal. The adhesive’s formulation is also HEMA-free to prevent hydrolysis which can lead to discolouration and cause allergies.
A simple definition of CAD/CAM dentistry is the use of digital software to design and manufacture dental restorations and prostheses. CAD stands for computer-aided design and CAM stands for computer-aided manufacturing. The technology can be used to create crowns, dentures, inlays, onlays, bridges and veneers among other things. The speed of the CAD/CAM process allows for dental prosthetics to be designed, manufactured and delivered to the patient in quick time, sometimes the same day. The wider system of using computer assisted technologies to produce restorations is known as CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Aesthetic Ceramics).
