It’s no secret that addition silicone (a silicone) impression material has helped revolutionise the field of prosthodontics.
With its host of clinical advantages, namely dimensional stability and fine detail reproduction, a silicone has become the go-to impression material for many dentists.
It is also a material that continues to be refined and advanced, with one of the more recent developments being working time flexibility. Flexitime impression material from Kulzer has a unique formula that makes choosing between a “fast setting” or a “regular setting” impression material depending on the indication no longer necessary.
Flexitime's unique flexible working time combines a time window between 1 minute and 2:30 minutes.
That’s less working time for single-tooth impressions (minimum 1 minute) and more working time for multiple-unit impressions (maximum 2:30 minutes).
This is made possible by Flexitime's formula, which controls the polymerisation kinetics based on oral temperature. The setting process accelerates when the tray is placed into the patient’s mouth.
The short intraoral setting time of 2:30 minutes is always the same. As a result, an impression with Flexitime takes between 3:30 minutes and a maximum of 5 minutes only - from filling the tray to removing the tray from the patient's mouth.
Flexitime’s different viscosities and delivery forms allow you to design the impression taking process individually according to the respective impression technique and your preferences.
The Flexitime product portfolio covers all indications and impression techniques in your daily practice.
